INCEC Minutes November 6, 2004

 

Wrap-up from Fall Drive-In Conference:

            Discussion about what needed to be changed – shortened the length of the day for

the next conference

            Sending Tim an honorarium for all of his hard work on the conference – Candy

Joles 2nd by Steve Crites

 

February Conference:

            Discussed the classrooms available including a computer lab and the auditorium

            Brochure being developed – discussed changes – it will be out by December 3,

2004

            Call for proposals changed to December 6, 2004

            ISTAR/ICAN will be able to use the computer lab at the conference

            Dixie Jordan from the PACER Center will be the keynote – family theme

            Email Kathie if you know how to disseminate information to parents and parent

organizations

            Ball State students will have a silent auction and sell candles to raise money

            Will see if members of ICASE will come and interview students

            Expected expenditures – janitor, rent tablecloths, printing, center pieces

            Center pieces – Patti will be ordering coffee mugs with INCEC and the website to

be filled with school items (please check with your insurance agents, banks, etc. for free pens, pencils, paper pads, etc.)         

            University of Indianapolis (U of I) students will stuff the bags

            Ball State and U of I students will make center pieces

            Candy Joles will contact a book representative for free items

            INCCBD will have a bake sale and drinks to raise money for the scholarship

 

Constitution – Kath Dowell sent to national

 

Treasurer report – all bills have been paid from the fall conference

            Only receive yearly disbursements from national CEC probably in January

            Around $23,000 currently in checking account
